I painted this for the Hope for Human Trafficking Victims art show at Flydragon Art Studio. It's sponsored by Zonta club of Cheyenne and focuses on bringing awareness to the human sex trafficking crisis happening in the U.S. and around the world.
The Phoenix is symbolic for rebirth. The survivors of sex trafficking know better than anyone what it means to rise above the ashes of the underworld and take flight ablaze with courage.
