I had the privilege of painting with these majestic beings for three days in January. It was really cold, but really worth it. This horse lady wanted me to paint her portrait; but I had already committed to Needle Rock as it emerged from the low swirling winter clouds. Spirit Wind Horse Rescue in Crawford, CO is truly a special place.
